No, I was not part of a pornographic website or anything.
It isn't necessarily bad for people to have things about them posted on the internet. Someone has access to pictures of you that others have posted and you might not even know it. Do you guys remember the picture release forms that we had to fill out in elementary school and stuff? Sometimes I wish we had those now but nope; the newspapers can come by and snap a couple of pictures of a public scene and you might be in it. It isn't bad unless somehow the picture catches you being unfaithful and then you are pretty much screwed, newspapers are usually dated.. at least they're not timestamped, because things could get technical (e.g. "you cheated on me when we were together!" --"nuh uh! we broke up at 4pm and the picture was taken at 4:15pm!")
Sometimes it helps a person's social life. Some of us are more outgoing while we chat online, and others free up their artistic minds easier by posting things online.
When it gets complicated is when we make real life problems out of things that happened online:
If we remove someone from our friend's list on Facebook, it becomes a big deal. You might not never confront the person that removed you face to face, but you will definitely tell people "yeah, he removed me from his friend's list" which itself sounds pretty ridiculous, but it happens to be a serious matter.
Complicated x10: When your relationship status goes from "In a relationship" to "Single" everyone finds out. And if your Facebook shows who you are in a relationship with, and one of you changes the status it says "Bob and Mary have ended their relationship" and everyone's like "No!" (but really think "it was about time.."). Then if you two get back together you debate whether or not to post it on Facebook again. Just thinking that you're debating "making it public" is a complicated matter!
Have you ever let a situation on a social networking site, a blog/forum, or a conversation over instant message affect you away from your computer?
